How to play

  1. Set two positions: Dragon and Tiger. Each position will receive one card.
  2. Reveal one card for each side. Compare their ranks; suits do not change a card's rank.
  3. The side with the higher rank is higher. Equal ranks create a tie.

Dragon Tiger rules in detail

Use a standard deck and identify two positions: Dragon and Tiger. One card is revealed for each position. The only comparison is card rank, so the round is quick to read.

Rank order

Ace is normally the highest rank, followed by King, Queen and Jack, then 10 down to 2. Suits are not ranked, so a 6 of hearts and a 6 of clubs are equal.

When the ranks match

If both revealed cards have the same rank, the result is a tie. Do not use colour or suit to break it unless a clearly agreed local format says otherwise.

Rank comparison

Ace is normally high, followed by King, Queen and the numbered cards down to 2. When the ranks match, no suit breaks the tie.
